Active Adult 4 Less - Great Values You Wouldn't Believe! |

 I hope that
you had a Happy Valentine’s Day and celebrated the holiday with
the love of your life. And, after all, living life
to its fullest is what it’s all about! In today’s
times of economic recovery my ongoing series of Active Adult 4
Less has been well received because even though your portfolio
value may be down, you still want the lifestyles
that active adult, age-restricted or age-appropriate communities
have to offer.
Thus I have
carried on for you, ever searching out great low cost
opportunities for you to enjoy the lifestyle that you’ve dreamed
of, worked towards and saved all of your life for.
If perhaps, at
this time of the year, you’ve had enough of winters’ chill and
shoveling snow - your thoughts may take you to a lifestyle in
sunnier climes. Having grown up in Arizona I always thought
that "the snowbirds" as we called them then ALL wanted to retire
to the sunbelt. Of course, that is simply not the case
entirely, because many of you will ultimately choose to buy your
active adult nest within 600 miles of where you raised the
family.
Nonetheless,
this dose of Active Adult 4 Less is rich in Vitamin D. So, get
the tanning cream, Martha, and let’s check out some super
cost-effective lifestyles in the land of sunshine!
Of course, the
perennial favorite for easterners has always been Florida, and
with the recent market corrections in home prices super values
abound throughout the state.
 Several
months ago I discovered the website for Piper’s Landing Yacht &
Country Club, an exceptional lifestyle community in southern
Florida. I have to admit that when I first checked out their
website, it took my breath away! A private, gated Golf &
Country Club community that also has lighted tennis courts and
its own deep water marina.
OK, you’re now
asking yourself, “What could a Yacht & Country Club community
be doing in an article like this?” When I visited the real
estate page at their website I was blown away to see what only
$150,000 would get me. How about a model-perfect 3 bedroom,
single-level ground floor lakeside condominium? Oh, did I
mention that the home is 2,100 square feet and is being offered
at that price fully furnished? Bring your toothbrush and
your tanning cream and start enjoying Active Adult 4 Less!!
While Piper’s
Landing is not an age-restricted community, here’s how they
describe themselves:
“We’re
not a Florida retirement community or a 55 and over community,
yet most of us are in this age group. Retiring does not define
members at Piper’s. Active, educated, inquiring and caring would
be better adjectives.”

Dear Investor
If you’re like me – your tired of the
volatility of the market especially when it comes to my retirement funds.
We’ve worked all our lives and have put together what we thought would
be a nice nest egg for our so called golden years. Well
nothing really goes as planned. The last few years have mostly wiped out a
good portion of our Ira’s and 401k’s, some of us have lost as
much as 30-40%.
Now with our retirement plans in shambles
we have to protect what we have left and that has to grow to
keep up with inflation. There are no guarantees in the stock
market. We want to increase our returns, without taking on additional
risk.. The banks get money from the Federal Reserve at or near zero
and give you CD rates that are next zero ( 1-2% ) are the normal.
Those rates don’t even match up with inflation.
Basically the only vehicle that keeps up
with inflation and eliminates risk and will give you a decent return,
especially when it comes to guaranteed income for life – is an
Annuity. There are numerous types of annuities - Fixed – Indexed –
Variable. They all offer guaranteed income for life options. Right
now there are products out there that will give your signing bonus
varying from 4-8% on your first year’s premium. There are indexed
products out there right now that will guarantee up to 7.2% compounding
on your income base for as many as twenty years on your income base,
as long as your don’t take a distribution. There is not a one size fits
all approach when it comes to annuities. If you want to protect what you
have left in your retirement plans. If you want to sleep well at night
and not have to worry about what’s going to affect your retirement savings –
then you have to look at annuities.
I would be very happy to discuss your
personal situation with no obligation and if nothing else will give you some
options to think about. Remember it took long to accumulate what
you have now and in a beat of a drum you could lose it all. You have to
